Icarus’s flaw was human – to want too much, to want to be more than human
when we want too much we lose all we have, and what were once wings are now wax stolen from bees’ cradles and feathers the birds no longer wanted

And Daedalus’s flaw was human too – to forget about the variable of being human, and young, and wanting even more than the wonders that are possible

Daedalus, I’m sorry, but there’s no causality

sometimes a partridge is just a bird. and sometimes your son is simply human.
you were a scientist. human complicate science enough without there being gods.
